Meet our Team!

Extremos was established in 2000 by Ivan Poschi, who is originally from Uruguay. He began his teaching career in 1999 and founded his own school to impart his unique vision: creating an international Dance Community where everybody is welcome & providing classes that are not just fun but are also focused on proper technique. With over 23 years of experience teaching Salsa & Bachata, Ivan is meticulous in his approach and ensures that all lead and follow techniques are executed flawlessly. Besides running his school, he is also the organizer of the famous AISF: the Amsterdam International Salsa Festival and the AIBF: the Amsterdam International Bachata Festival, which take place each year, and attract many people from all over the world. 

Damian is originally from Argentina and is known for his catchy, positive energy wherever he is present. He has lived in Milan, Italy, where he trained with some of the best Salsa instructors worldwide. His preferred dance styles include Salsa On1 and Salsa Cubana. In 2019, he relocated to Amsterdam and has taught full-time at Extremos ever since. His fantastic teaching skills include focusing on technique, teaching students the right mindset, and giving lots of personal feedback. He is also known for his amazing Flow and extraordinary Social Dancing skills: as soon as he hits the Dance Floor, it’s a pleasure to watch him dance the night away.

Fun fact: he is addicted to Cappuccino and cookies and is the Director & Trainer of the Extremos Dance Company, a show team of Extremos students that performs nationally and internationally.

This Salsa Lady is an absolute delight to follow classes from. Kristina is full of happy energy and has a very high level of technique in following, spinning, and social dancing; complex combinations are no problem for her at all. She also has lots of knowledge of leading techniques, making her a perfect teacher for both leaders and followers. Giving personal feedback is her specialty, even in full classes where she takes the time to help you improve as much as possible. Besides being a Salsa teacher, Kristina works as a Personal Trainer.

Introducing Aldo, a remarkable Salsa dancer from Venezuela. Students love his classes with his fast & challenging style. With detailed and structured explanations, he introduces the world of Mambo to many students and makes them love Salsa even more. Aldo teaches many Partner- and Footwork classes and has an amazing Flow, a high level of musicality, and can handle complex and fast moves. He is also a passionate performer and loves to challenge himself and develop new skills continuously. 

Pauline joined Extremos in 2017 and has worked her way up to General Manager. She is also a skilled dancer, assisting with Salsa and Bachata classes, and enjoys teaching Reggaeton.

Pep and Marina, hailing from Mallorca, Spain, joined Extremos in 2021 and quickly gained a reputation as Amsterdam’s most sought-after Bachata instructors. The two have been dancing together since their teenage years and have vast experience teaching Sensual Bachata. Not only that, but they are also responsible for choreographing the Extremos Bachata Showteam, which comprises eight passionate individuals!

Meet Anne Elise, our Dutch pride! This beautiful lady has an impressive Salsa career not only in the Netherlands but also in the USA! She has trained for years with the famous Yamulee Dance Company in New York, known for having the best Salsa dancers in the world. We are thrilled to have her teaching Partnerwork, Bodymovement, and Ladies Styling classes in our school! Her classes are perfect for bringing your technique to a higher level since she explains everything with great care and fantastic structure. She is also an amazing Solo and Group performer and travels the country to teach her Workshops. Besides being a Dancer and Teacher, she is the Founder of her own Danceshoe line “Traveling Dancer,” selling great Salsa Shoes for ladies. 

Meet Tedy, a talented dancer originally from Peru who now resides in Amsterdam. He honed his skills at Extremos dance school and quickly stood out as an exceptional student, earning a spot on the prestigious Extremos Showteam thanks to his dedication and hard work. Tedy’s passion for dance eventually led him to become an outstanding instructor, impressing others with his remarkable talent and skill.

After relocating from Ukraine, where she worked as an architect, to Amsterdam in 2022, Lidiia quickly became an integral part of the Extremos team.

At Extremos, Lidiia excels in graphic design while also lending her skills to salsa and bachata classes. However, her true passion lies in teaching her own ladies styling classes, which she leads with enthusiasm every Saturday.
