When can I start taking classes?

Who likes to wait? We don’t! That’s why we created multiple moments for you to start with your Salsa & Bachata classes, so here are your options:

1. For Beginners, we have two different sequels of Try-Out weeks. The courses start the week after. Click here to see when our next Try-Outs are happening

2. You can also join our One-Day Beginner Bootcamp on Sundays, where you will learn the absolute Basics in 3 hours. You’ll find all our Beginner Bootcamps on extremos.nl/bootcamp/ 

3. Do you have some experience already? Then you can start joining our classes at any moment! We made life easy and created a Drop-In schedule. Simply check out our schedule and sign up for a class of your choice. Of course, you can also choose to try out classes in our official Try-Out weeks, where we have our Ambassador team ready to answer any questions and give you some secret discounts that you won’t find on our website. Also, in that week all lessons are only €5! 

Do I need to bring a dance partner?

Nope, just you are all we need! During each class, we switch partners. It’s a great way to improve quickly and meet many new people in a short time!

P.S. Do you prefer to bring a dance partner and not switch partners? No problem at all!

 

What do I need to wear?

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable! Wear something that’s not too restricting (remember, it’s a dance class!), and gives you confidence! Please note that personal hygiene is essential as well, so come to class with fresh & clean clothes. Regarding your shoes, it’s necessary to be able to “spin” or turn on them. We recommend suede soles, especially for the followers when dancing on heels.

How much does it cost?

We have multiple options when it comes to our prices. Let’s break down the most essential packages for you:

Beginner 1,2 & 3: Start easy by registering for a six-week beginner course for € 85. You’ll find the dates of all courses here: https://www.extremos.nl/absolute-beginners/

Memberships: There are various options depending on how often you wish to dance, and for how long! Whether you want to dance only one night a week, or two, three, or an unlimited amount – we got you covered! Choose from these paired with 3, 6, or 12 months long of joyful dancing. Can I use my credits only for Salsa or only for Bachata classes?

Credits can be used for every class according to your level. So you can join Salsa and Bachata classes in Amsterdam and Utrecht! This also applies to the Footwork, Body Movement, and Ladies’ Styling lessons. 

How do I get a medal?

The teachers are entirely responsible for giving the students their medals. 

To get the medal for a higher level; it is first of all necessary that you have the right and proper technique that our instructors ask for. If you’d like to try the next level, you can join these during our Try-Out week and ask the teachers for advice. It is also possible to ask for a medal during the regular weekly classes. Make sure to do this in the beginning of the lessons so our instructors know they have to evaluate you. You can also request it through our Bueno Students app:
click on a class of a higher level. The app will ask you if you wish to request the medal, and you select “yes”. Make sure to have a clear profile picture of you, so the teachers can easily recognize you.

 

Can I pause my membership?

Yes, you can pause your membership! Send us an email at least 1 week before the start of the month in which the pause period is intended to start. 

During the contract period, subscribers can pause:
3-month contract: Maximum 7 days.
6-month contract: Maximum 14 days
12-month contract: Maximum 30 days.

After the initial contract, all memberships can be paused for a maximum of 3 months.

But keep in mind, when a membership is paused, the end date will be extended by the duration of the paused period! Cancelation after the pause period still requires a one-month notice in which the membership is active.

 

How do I cancel my membership?

Cancellation is only possible after completion of the initial contract period. So for example: if you have a 12-month membership, it cannot be canceled after only 4 months. It must finish the full contract period. After the initial contract period, you can cancel anytime. The cancellation of a subscription is effective 30 days after receipt of the request – this means we work with a 1 month notice. 

So, to cancel your membership, send an email to info@extremos.nl, one month in advance in order for it to be processed!

Can I change my membership?

Want to upgrade? Great! Members can upgrade their membership at any time during the contract period. In the event of an upgrade, a new subscription will be created, and the membership benefits associated with the upgraded level will take effect immediately. The upgraded subscription will have its distinct end date.

Want to downgrade? Within the contract period, it is not possible to downgrade your membership. Downgrading is permitted at the expiration of the current contract period. At the end of the contract period, members may choose to renew their subscription at the current level or explore other membership options.

How do missed classes work?

If you have a subscription where you missed a class in a week, this will be added to your account as a ‘Missed Class’ credit. These are valid for 1 month after the class is missed. You can use this as a credit to sign up for another class within that month! 

*missed classes cannot be used after a membership is canceled.
