Rookie Social

Not every week. At the end of every beginners course there is one, and the next one is Sunday 25 October, from 14:00 to 16:00 at Orchid House.

Two hours for Beginners and Improvers only, so you practise what you just learned with the people who learned it in the same weeks. Salsa and bachata, DJ Ivanito behind the decks.

Merengue first

From 14:15 to 14:45 we start with a merengue workshop. Merengue is the easiest of the Latin dances to pick up, so this part is open to everyone, including people who have never had a dance class.

That makes it a good afternoon to bring a friend who has been wondering what you have been doing all those weeks.

Then the floor opens to everyone

At 16:00 the Rookie Social turns into our regular Sunday social and runs until 19:00. Most people stay. That is the point: you have spent two hours with your own group, and now you dance with everybody else.

Signing up

Free if you sign up in advance through the Bueno app. Five euro at the door without.

Bringing someone? Everyone signs up with their own Bueno account, you cannot add a second person to yours.

Where

Orchid House, Linnaeusstraat 2C, next to the Oosterpark. Same room as Latin @ Orchid House, which runs there every Sunday.
