Croatian Summer Salsa Festival

This is the one our people keep going back to. Every year a good part of the school ends up in Rovinj, and every year somebody comes home saying they should have booked the whole week. The town on the Croatian coast turns into one big dance floor, and it has been doing that for twenty-two years.

Monday 7 until Monday 14 June 2027, the twenty-third edition. Over five thousand dancers from some ninety countries.

What is in it

• More than two hundred workshops in one week: salsa on1 and on2, Cuban salsa, Afro-Cuban, bachata, cha cha and kizomba
• Beach parties on three floors, seven days long
• Boat parties, three hours on the Adriatic each time
• Live concerts, a pool party, and the Grande Fiesta on the main square of the old town
• Dancing in the streets of a Mediterranean town that keeps going until it gets light

Good to know

We are not the organiser, so the programme and the conditions are theirs. It is a week, not a weekend, and Rovinj is a holiday town in June, so book a bed early. If you want to know what it is like before you go, ask around in class: chances are the person next to you has been.
