All of our partnering classes always start off with a warming-up, in which the teacher demonstrates shines (footwork a dancer can use to vary the partnerwork). During this warming-up, your muscles will of course warm up and we’ll work on your rhythm, your basic movements and your posture.

After the warming up you will learn a turn pattern, which you will execute with your partner. Besides all the steps and combinations, it’s essentials that the men learn how to lead ladies and that the ladies learn how to follow the men. To obtain this experience we will switch partners regularly during the class, so that the men learn what it means to lead different ladies and the ladies will learn what it means to follow different men.
