Bachta is a romantic dance, which originated in the Dominican Republic. For a long time bachata was only occasionally played at Salsa Parties. Recently however, it has taken the world by storm and is quickly becoming as popular as salsa itself.
Even with no prior salsa experience you can join a bachata class. Bachata is not about complicated moves, it is more linked to feeling the music. For example, see the video below of Tony Lara, one of the Bachata pioneers in Europe.
