Anthony Persaud grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico surrounded by lively sounds of bomba, plena, salsa, and other latin rhythms. His true passion for dancing salsa grew as he left for Iowa to attend college in the U.S. There, he studied computer and electrical engineering, and in his spare time, honed his dancing skills and later founded the university’s first Salsa Dance Club - Descarga Latin Dance.

Nucita la Fiera & Gibert Ismail

Nucita went on holiday to la Margarita/Venezuela in 1999 and she realized straight away that she was born in the wrong country as she was so attracted to the latino culture and music. Six weeks after her holiday she moved to Isla Margarita, and enjoyed very much living there. She learnt to dance Salsa on the streets. As Venezuela was very insecure she had to come back to Holland after 1 year... but she was addicted to latin music.

He first got introduced to the world of Salsa when he started dancing at a danceschool in Arnhem, The Netherlands. His love for the music started during the lessons, practicing his basic steps.
