Extremos
Extremos was founded in 1999 by Ivan Poschi. After taking classes at dansschool Borincuba with Cacho Santos and Dansschool Club Asi with Marlon & Annetje Castillo, Ivan started teaching salsa at cafe Madeliefje - owned by Mo Sahib (Salsa Lounge). Within a few months Madeliefje became too small for the number of people who wanted to learn salsa with Ivan. After a short period there was a need to find an alternative location, which was found at Akhnaton near Amsterdam Central Station.

In 2002 Extremos was contacted by Cantinero, a soon to be opened salsa-club/restaurant in the middle of the Pijp. A decision was quickly made to join forces with Cantinero. This proved to be a great formula, since Extremos now teaches around 35 classes on a weekly basis at Cantinero. Every weekend Cantinero is the hottest SalsaClub in town. Hundreds of people gather to have fun every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

2002 also was the year in which Jennifer joined Extremos. Together, Ivan & Jennifer are still working on improving every aspect of Extremos

Teachers
The current Extremos team exists of ten teachers. Every teacher has his own style of teaching and that's why it's nice to take classes of different teachers.
